SHORT DESCRIPTION

Elaboration of geological and geotechnical investigations and studies to clarify the causes and the mechanism of this extensive landslide event that stopped traffic for days on the highway Athens - Lamia.

The study was commissioned and conducted by the collaborative consultants GEOMICHANIKI Ltd and EDAFOS Ltd for the geotechnical study, and the GAMMA-4 Co Ltd for the Geological Survey. The study included the drafting and execution of a research program to clarify the phenomenon, and the design of remedial measures, both for the temporary and the permanent stabilization of the slope.
