SHORT DESCRIPTION
Transnational Research Programme of the 12th Directorate of the EU to investigate the parameters related to climate change in the Mediterranean region that contribute to the instability of the slopes. Topic of the programme was the use of the new techniques of remote sensing, of interferometry (differential interferometry), and of GIS.
The Greek area of study was the site of the Panagopoula landslide, that occurred in the sixties, and the erosional area of Arravonitsa, both in Achaia Prefecture.
The program involved the Universities of Athens and Torino Italy, the GAMMA-4 Co Ltd, and three more companies from Italy, France and Belgium.
