SHORT DESCRIPTION

Complete geological study along a 35-km railway line that designed from Volos area up the valley Almyros, where the metal factory industrial facilities are. The design includes 2 tunnels and many other ancillary works, through difficult and problematic soils.
Geological mapping, profiles and sections, stability analysis of rock slopes, exploration of the geotechnical and hydrogeological conditions.
Evaluation of geological and geotechnical data, final proposals for the design and formulation of project, in a seismically active region due to the presence of recently activated seismic fault.
In addition, an environmental study and impacts evaluation was conducted.
